Here’s something different: a viola with a body length of 468mm (18 1/2 inches)!
This viola is based on a tenor viola made by Peregrino Michelli Di Zanetto from 16th century Brescia.
It was certainly a challenging commission, especially ensuring maximum comfort for the player. In the end, though, I knew all the effort I put in was worth it when I heard the viola’s tone, reminiscent of a cello.
